Are there any players that have a strategy of just blasting the cue ball really hard (rather than using stylish technique) with the idea in mind that the long-travelling cue ball will eventually hit everything it needs to hit? Lol.

What if the 1st object ball disturbs the other object ball, but your cue ball still hits 3 rails and the other object ball? Is that still a point? What if you hit the 1st object ball more than once, but still manage 3 rails + the other object ball with your cue ball? Lastly, why did the ref soft reset the red and the players cue ball (placing red on foot string, and cue on head string), mid inning?

Que juego más aburrido y tonto. Acá en mi país jugábamos algo parecido pero la idea era hacer carambolas sin botar los pines. De ahí q se demostraba el q sabía jugar la cabañas. Esos solo juegan defensa sin hacer demostración más q obligar al oponente a entregar juego facil

Most people on this planet don't realize how difficult 3 cushion billiards can be.

It was such an honor to meet Dick Jaspers and watch his 3 cushion billiards demonstration in Lawrence Kansas a few years ago. My Bestie and I joke about how long it would take us to get to 40 points if we tried that game. We decided if we ever try it we'll go first to get 3 points. That would hopefully take less than a week to accomplish.

The 40 point barrier was the only reason that prevented Le Grande Maitre Caudron from continue and establish its own record. I can almost foresee that last cushion position was feasible for this great player to keep earing both points am history.
